Images can be enhanced for optimal viewing and pathology, stored electronically, and be made available in seconds. Software enables the physician to perform biomechanical annotations effortlessly on the monitor. Digital images can then be shared with a colleague across the hall or across the world utilizing PACS software. The enhanced images can often result in diagnostics not discernable with standard film x-ray of these tiny bones of the body.
